In a heartwarming development, a Nigerian journalist identified as Ifeanyi Okali Fakzy is in tears of joy as his wife delivers their first child after 11 years of waiting.
The journalist, who is the Director of ABN TV took to his social media page to share the news of the birth of his child and expressed his profound gratitude to God for the miracle.
The baby girl arrived at about 11am on Wednesday, May 10 at the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia. The mother and the baby are in good health condition, the hospital authorities said.
Taking to his social media page to announce the piece of good news, the proud father said he and his wife have faced mockery and spiteful comments in the past one decade due to their childlessness.
He said, “I am glad that after 11 years, God has graciously blessed my family in a special way.
“My wife and I can now be called “parents”, having suffered tantrums and mockery in the past agonising one decade and more.
“We have just welcomed a baby girl and our very first child since our marriage in 2012.
“God still answers prayers. May His name be praised.”
The photo has since gone viral, with many Nigerians congratulating the journalist and his wife on the birth of their child. The news also serves as an inspiration to other couples who may be experiencing infertility challenges to never give up hope.
